How to get the native balance of a multi-signature wallet

Step 1: Setup Moralis

Read the article Setting Up Moralis: Getting Started and make sure to finish all the steps. Only after that you can go ahead to complete this guide.

Step 2: Get the native balance of an address

In order to get the native balance of a multi-signature wallet, Moralis provides you the getNativeBalance API endpoint.

Here you'll need two parameters: address and chain.

Once you have obtained both the address and chain, you can copy the following code:

const Moralis = require("moralis").default;
const { EvmChain } = require("@moralisweb3/common-evm-utils");

const runApp = async() => {
await Moralis.start({
apiKey: "YOUR_API_KEY",
// ...and any other configuration
});

const address = '0x849D52316331967b6fF1198e5E32A0eB168D039d';

const chain = EvmChain.ETHEREUM;

const response = await Moralis.EvmApi.balance.getNativeBalance({
address,
chain,
});

console.log(response.toJSON());
}

runApp();

Step 3: Run the script

To run the script, enter the following command:

node index.js

In your terminal, you should see the following JSON response:

[
{
"balance": "970315108126866256970"
}
]

Congratulations πŸ₯³ You just got the native balance of a multi-signature wallet address with just a few lines of code using the Moralis Wallet API!
